2019 Local Teacher Award Winner: Jenn Reeder

According to a national survey conducted by Kelton Research, 97% of all teachers pay out of pocket for classroom supplies. The average American teacher spends approximately $1000 of their money on essential school items each year. As a result, the Sensory Research Foundation commits to helping students and teachers in the classroom! SRF awards free teacher supplies and monetary gift cards each month in an ongoing effort to support local schools.

“Being a recipient of the Teacher Supplies Gift Card is an honor. I am excited to use the gift card towards Orientation & Mobility lessons in the community and to purchase necessary supplies to help keep my students organized during their school day. I enjoy teaching students with visual impairments because each student finds creative ways to be successful!” – Jenn Reeder
